Simple but good chicken noodle soup recipe?

My boyfriend is sick and I want to make him some chicken noodle soup, and I don't really want to use JUST the canned stuff. So could someone kindly give me a recipe or point me somewhere that has a easy but good one? Thanks!Simple but good chicken noodle soup recipe?
* 1 tablespoon butter


* 1/2 cup chopped onion


* 1/2 cup chopped celery


* 4 (14.5 ounce) cans chicken broth


* 1 (14.5 ounce) can vegetable broth


* 1/2 pound chopped cooked chicken breast


* 1 1/2 cups egg noodles


* 1 cup sliced carrots


* 1/2 teaspoon dried basil


* 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano


* salt and pepper to taste








1. In a large pot over medium heat, melt butter. Cook onion and celery in butter until just tender, 5 minutes. Pour in chicken and vegetable broths and stir in chicken, noodles, carrots, basil, oregano, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes before serving.Simple but good chicken noodle soup recipe?
4 small skinless chicken breasts, diced


2 pints boiling water


2-3 chicken stock cubes


1 medium onion, chopped


80g garden peas (frozen is fine)


Black pepper


2 teaspoons dried parsley (or handful of fresh parsley, chopped)


65g rice noodles





Directions


Put the stock cubes into a med-large heavy bottomed saucepan.


Boil the kettle and pour boiled water over the stock cubes - stir well.


Add the chicken, onion and seasonings.


Bring to the boil and reduce the heat to a simmer. Cook for around 30-35 minutes or until the chicken is tender.


Add the peas (the carrots would go in now) and simmer for a further 10 minutes.


Stir in the noodles, leave for 5 minutes and serve.

2 1/2 cups wide egg noodles


1 teaspoon vegetable oil


12 cups chicken broth


1 1/2 tablespoons salt


1 teaspoon poultry seasoning


1 cup chopped celery


1 cup chopped onion


1/3 cup cornstarch


1/4 cup water


3 cups diced, cooked chicken meat





DIRECTIONS


Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add egg noodles and oil, and boil for 8 minutes, or until tender. Drain, and rinse under cool running water.


In a large saucepan or Dutch oven, combine broth, salt, and poultry seasoning. Bring to a boil. Stir in celery and onion. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer 15 minutes.


In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water together until cornstarch is completely dissolved. Gradually add to soup, stirring constantly. Stir in noodles and chicken, and heat through.

I know you said no can but try can of Campbell's chicken noodle and put some chopped onion in it, it taste great and he will never know.
