Sweet and Sour Chicken
Notes:
Recipe comes from Sue A. Mertens Minick from Hazelwood, MO. She actually found this site on the internet! And yes, she is family :-)
Ingredients:
1 Chicken, cut up into serving pieces
1/2 C. Flour
1 tsp. Salt
1/4 tsp. Black Pepper
Sauce
1 (13 1/2 oz.) can Pineapple Chunks
1 C. Sguar
1 Tbsp. Cornstarch
3/4 C. Cider Vinegar
1 Tbsp. Soy Sauce
1/4 tsp. Ginger
1 chicken Bouillion Cube
1 large Green Pepper, cut into strips
Preparation:
Wash chicken dry, and coat with flour. Heat oil and brown the chicken. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. DRain pienapple and add enoughw ater to the drained liquid to make 1 1/4 cups. Mix sauce ingredients and boil for 2 minutes. Pour this over the chicken. Add pineapple and green pepper. Bake until tender, about 30 to 40 minutes at 350 degrees.Where can i find the recipe for sweet%26amp;sour chicken????

trust me i am chinese:
1) cut raw chicken legs/breast in middle size pieces. mix it with soya sauce,chopped garlics,volker, little bit of sugar. for arround 1 hours
2) pour some corn flour on a plate, dip the favourated chicken evenly with the flours. then deep flies with oil with medium fire until it turns into golden colour
3) sieve the oil away either using a sieve or kitchen paper
4) prepare hot flying pan, put oil, then vinegar/lemon juice, sugar. keep trying the taste until you like it. then pour (corn flour 1 tablespoon+ cold water 2 tablespoon) with maxium fire, until the sauce become thick
5) quickly stir in the deep flied chicken with the sauce
6) beautiful finishing with cut pieces of lemon decoration on the plate
7) and give me 10 points for the best answer
When I was younger, my parents used to buy the ';already made'; sweet and sour sauce at the grocery store and pour it in a pan. They would let it simmer and then add the already cooked and cubed chicken. It was delicious.
