You can Put it on a pan and just sear the Chicken, its best if you use breast, (make sure you marinate it with all your ingredients first) just sear it (until it gets color) not the pinkish, then put it in the oven , make sure you deglaze all the juices that came out when seared. (preheated) 350 F. Uncovered until its tender about 15-18 minutes Enjoy! Honey chicken sounds GOOD!I need a recipe for a marinade for chicken that only has HONEY, GINGER, GARLIC AND SOY SAUCE AND SOME OIL?
You've answered your own question. The oil that they probably used was either peanut (because it is more flavorful) or sesame oil.

Experiment with the measurements until you find it suitable to your palate.
Maybe instead of thinking ';marinade'; you should consider using all of the ingredients as a brine. Use chicken stock and salt to permeate the meat, and brine for 1 hour per pound in cold storage. Sounds tasty!
