Looking For The Name of A Chicken and Rice Dish And Possibly a Recipe?

When I was a kid, a good friend of mine had a nanny that was from the Philippines I believe. She made this great dish that had chicken in a really creamy pale yellow sauce, and it was over rice. I believe the sauce had sour cream and mustard in it. Anyone know what it might have been called or have a good recipe for it? It may or may not have been a Philippino recipe. The recipe you might be looking for could possibly be something called chicken adobo, it is a Filipino dish-although I don't think it traditionally has sour cream in it. Mustard has vinegar in it and one of the signature ingredients of the sauce for the dish is vinegar so maybe it was a variation of the dish that was prepared for you. Name: Chicken Breast In Mustard Cream Sauce





Ingredients:





2 boneless chicken breast halves


Olive Oil


1 to 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar


1 tablespoon white wine


1/2 cup heavy cream


1 tablespon Dijon mustard


Hot cooked egg noodles or rice





Directions:





1.)In skillet, saute chicken in a litte olive oil until browned and cooked through.





2.)Remove chicken and keep warm.





3.)Pour off excess oil from pan.





4.)Over high heat, add wine and vinegar.





5.)Scraping up brown bits from bottom of skillet, heat until liquid is reduced and syrupy.





6.)Add heavy cream.





7.)Boil, stirring, until cream is thickened and reduced by half.





8.)Remove from heat.





9.)Stir in mustard.





10.)Spoon sauce over chicken and noodles or rice.

i have one good chicken recipe from my friend and it's delicious have 1 medium size onion roughly chopped boiled it in half to one cup of water(boil it till it's look transparent half the water amount) let cool it down now put it in a blender with 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder n 2 to 3 small green chilies(i prefer 4 to 5 cause i like hot u can add as your taste) 1 tbsp fennel seeds powder,half inch of ginger salt to taste make fine paste keep it aside now in a pan have 1 cooking spoon of oil heat it with crushed garlic add one small chicken's pieces fry it till garlic turned slightly brown and chicken change the colour as well now add the paste dry the chicken now constantly stir with the spoon otherwise it's burn from bottom n after it's totally dry (on this stage the smell is mind blowing)add 350g of natural yogurt cook till it's turn into a smooth yellow paste(if you feel the colour is light add some more turmeric powder) eat it with boiled rice or even with spoon enjoy
